We have been working as an Occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapy Assistant for a combined total of 30+ years. We are itinerant therapists and are in and out of several schools per day working with a variety of needs. Our office usually consists of our briefcase and the trunk of our car. It makes it difficult to have a consistent and effective therapy program when equipment isn't readily available or easy to transport. We had been searching for a solution to this problem and hadn't found what we were looking for.

    So.... our idea was born!!

Movement on the Go is not just intended for Occupational and Physical Therapists. It can be used as a teaching tool for Speech Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Physical Education Teachers, Music Teachers, Classroom Teachers and by families to promote physical and cognitive growth.

We put a lot of thought into the production of Movement On The Go.

• Our rubber squares are cut and printed by Human Technologies Corporation. HTC is a company of diverse businesses helping people to overcome barriers and achieve personal success. Having HTC be part of our manufacturing team is very special to us. Some of the employees are people we had seen (many years ago) for OT and PT when they were in school.

• NO BOX!  We did not want our game to come in a box. Boxes break, fall apart and all the pieces fall out! As itinerant therapists we are constantly bringing games from school to school.  All of our game boxes have so much tape holding them together you can't tell what game it is anymore! We looked long and hard for a heavy-duty zippered bag with a handle. We also like that there's enough room to put a couple of charts and your schedule in the bag too.

• The instruction book lays flat. We used a spiral binding so that it will lay flat on the table or floor. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is when you are trying to read instructions, set up an activity and deal with very active children. The minute you take your hand off the book it closes and you lose your page! That won't happen with our book.

• Non-slip rubber squares. We tested a lot of different materials. We wanted something that wasn't too thick, too heavy or too slippery. We are pleased with the rubber our squares are made of. They are lightweight, washable and are non-slip. We also like that you can use both sides.
